When someone dedicates their life to help others, takes risks to speak the truth and asks questions to reveal the truth, this is a courageous spirit.
One spirit, Natalia Estemirova, has been killed. By whom or by who it is only speculated in the news right now. Natalia, for the past ten years, has been a leading activist in Chechnya with HRC Memorial , an international historical-enlightenment human rights and humanitarian society memorial – based in Eastern-Europe.
Her life was dedicated to help victims of human rights abuses and illegal actions. People asked her for help from the severe realities of torture and bombings. She even questioned Ramzan Kadyrov, president of the Chechen Republic about young women in Chechnya being almost forced to wear head scarves. To which, she reported that he threatened her.
An attempt has been made to silence the questioner. Now it is up to others to ask the questions and demand the answers.
